Pascal's Wager Sad_puppy

What is Wrong with it ?

1.You think you have chosen the right god, which there is a good possibility that its not true, theists are atheists to all other gods (I'll include the list).

so your chances for choosing the right god is (something like) 1/1000 (there are more gods but let's say take 1,000)

2.You think YOU are going to heaven, which might not be true, not only you have to choose the right god but also you should do good deeds (based on which god you choose)

there fore the probability of choosing the right god + being eligible for heaven is :

(since most religions say a minority of believers find their way to heaven, let's say 20%)so you need 80% chance

1/1000 x 1/80 = 1/80,000

3.You think god rewards belief, most gods only reward certinity about the religion

but i take that as good deed and not gonna count it

so your chances of going to heaven is ;

1/80,000

now include probability of go existing,by your own illogical calculation lets say 50/50 (which should be 1/10^x)

**************************************************

1/160,000 <----Your Chance of Being Right
1/160,001 <---My Chance of being right
I'm an atheist to just one more god than you

my chances of getting into heaven is

and I enjoy this life, without worrying, wasting my time and money on religion....

by the way, what you said is called pascal wager
